heater blower

my heater only blows on high, im pretty confedent its the resistor on the heater but i dont know where it is. if somone could explain to me where it is, or post a pic of where it is id appreciate it.

Bump.. nobody knows where it is?

The blower resistor is probably rusted and the contacts have separated. You don't have to remove anything to get to it. IIRC it is behind the glove box. You have to get right up under the dash with your head against the floor and look up. It is held in with 2 screws. It's tricky because you can't see it while trying to unbolt it. You basically have to do it by feel.
I got a pic, but it's even hard to back enough to get it.

thanks for that i never would have found it, i was looking on the engine compartment side of the box :pointlaugh:

im sorry for my stupidity but im looking for it under the box and i still cant find it, could you be more specific as to where it is?

I tried to find a parts drawing to show you the resistor location but the Ford part sites do not show the blower box, click this link http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php to see at least what you are looking for and perhaps it will help. I'll see if I can get a picture for you later today from the salvage yard if I make it there before they close.

thanks for the link but i got it fixed last night. it was on the engine side :poke: about 5 oclock from the heater fan motor. pulled it out and got a new one installed. cleaned a mouse nest out of the box to LOL

haha its way warmer now than it was it pushes more air plus it doesnt smell funny anymore LOL
