Eaton Supercharger on a 351...

So my buddy got an Eaton supercharger given to him for nothing. It looks practically brand new, so he wants to try and make it work on his 84 F350.

The supercharger came off an 2000 SVT 5.4L Ford Lightning.

All he has is the supercharger, so he's going to fabricate a mount for it and fabricate a mount for his Holley 870 carb.

I'm posting for him, so bare with me..... will this thing work properly with fuel from the carb running through it, even though it wasn't originally designed for that?

Is it going to be a "blow-thru" setup?

On edit, its a whipple style so must be a draw thru....should have no issues with fuel moving thru it.

Yes it'll be drawing the fuel thru it.

The only thing he's kind of hung up on is what to do with the vacuum actuated bypass valve. Any suggestions as to what he should do with it? Does he need to use the bypass valve at all or can he eliminate it?

Anyone know anything about the vacuum bypass valve on the Supercharger? Is it necessary for proper operation or can we eliminate it and still have the charger work properly.
