93 Indirect Injected

i have a good feeling the old stock injectors are begining to go and i know the 93 and 94 "stock turbo IDIs" had g-code injectors which will easily go into my orginally NA idi, i was wondering if anyone knows the parts number for the g-code injectors from ford:ford:
(i wanna make this easier for me to order because all the ford places around here are managed by "genius's" with computers:doh: lamo)

The G-code injectors are actually emissions injectors, folks who run their trucks hard usually prefer the BB-code injectors and get them shimmed so they open at slightly higher pressure. Pensacola Diesel has new Delphi BB-code injectors for cheap, and you can take them to a local diesel shop and have them pop-tested and matched.

ill have to take a look at them, but what do you mean by pop tested?

They put them on a stand and measure the pressure the injector opens at, and also observe the spray pattern. You want to have all 8 injectors matched so they open at the same pressure, and you really want to have them pop-tested as even new ones will vary within certain limits.

:whs: the pop testing is along the lines of how the PSD injectors get flow matched. Its an added quality control check to make sure everything is in sync.
From what I understand most injection places could build you some custom injectors. Or you could contact Agnem (Mel) on Oilburners.net (http://www.oilburners.net) and get a set of his "Moose Injectors" He also builds pumps too if I remember correctly.

do the marine engines come from the factory with bigger nozzles? might be a cheap upgrade.

i will deffenatly have to get them pop tested, but i have heard about the moose pump and injectors, but i dnt think im goin to go that route with this motor, because im lookin to find a lower mileage IDI motor to put low comp pistons in and use my old turbo set up but with a holset hx-20(?) i believe off one of the 2nd gen dodge cummins, should be able to handle more boost this way. I kno the IDI isn't the ultimate platform for a performance motor but i do believe this would work, but im still learning so ne more feed back would be great.

Sounds like some good plans, the IDI might not be the ultimate platform for a performance motor but I bet ya good money ask any cummins or duramax owner about the power stroke being considered the ultimate platform LOL
I wanna do the same thing some day, some Mahle 19.5:1 pistons ceramic coated on the top with turbo rods, head studs and maybe some port/polish work on the heads and intake and then some sort of turbo setup. Probably only handle about 20-25psi tops, and fab in a PSD intercooler. Along with the proper fuel mods and such of course.
Build it up for what its worth and be happy with it :ford:

Marine injectors, not sure, but you can melt your pistons down due to overfueling just fine using factory injectors and pump, so I don't really see the need for injectors that can handle more flow. The moose injectors I believe are improved in the spray-pattern area, and are of course all pop-pressure matched when they get shipped out.
Pensacola Diesel, the issue with them was not the injectors as those are brand new Delphi units, but rather some of the injection pumps as they are rebuilds that are handled not by Pensacola but some other rebuild company, hence the quality issues. From what I hear tho Pensacola do pretty good when it comes to replacing defective units tho...
