How many quiarts of oil in 6.4

giving my truck a oil change tommorow how much oil does the the 6.4 hold..

At what cetain mile stages are you suppose to service certain stuff like rear transfer case tranny oil?

Ill have to look in the manual i think transfer case is 75k and i know that the rear diff is over 100k its in the owners manual ill have to look, i think it says 50k on the trans as well.

Most people are servicing engine around 5k and fuel filters every other oil change, ill look in my manual later and post exact numbers.

i think trans is at 100k. depending on how you use your truck would probly be a good idea to go 50k. thas all i know tho.

First diesel. Any good "how to's" to change oil?

drain it with the engine warmed up to temperature and dont get any of that hot sh*t on ur arm... lol.... no tricks really... lube the orings on your filter lids with a lil oil when u go back together to keep them from tearing and help them seal up better...... welcome to the diesel world

around 15 quarts.

A little advise, remove your oil filter and let it drain and then drain the pan and let them both drain for a good time. This gets most of the used oil out compared to if you dont change your filter untill after you put the drain plug back in.
Also on a truck with the DPF system still on, 14 quarts are best for during regen, a small amount of fuel passes the rings in the combustion chamber and with 15 quarts it will be over full.
