Pressure regulator...

Well, I've been looking over the things to get an electric fuel set up and I've ran into a bit of a snag.....how exactly does the fuel pressure regulator come into play?

From looking at Tom's and Tim's pics...I can see that the feed line goes straight to the heads, or at least the pictures make it seem apparent that it does. I can also see that the return line is connected to the bottom of the regulator....My question is, what exactly do I do with the two inlet side ports of the regulator?

I've pretty much figured out what I'm going to do with the rest as far as the electrical and whatnot but, I'm still trying to figure this out by looking at the pictures and reading about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Fuel will have to feed up to the engine from the fuel pump and split so that you have 1 feed line to each head. Then you will need 1 return line from each head going to the regulator (side ports). You are right about the return line, that is the bottom port on the regulator. This is how the typical regulated return system is routed that most people use on 7.3's.

Ok, so I'm getting that at the front of the engine, there are return ports that go into the regulator, and then they flow back into the single return line, correct?

I'll go out and look and see what I can find....

That helped alot. Thanks

Yes that is the way the stock system is set up on a 96. You can run it the exact same way if you get an aftermarket regulator.
