How bad of a job it is to put new o-rings and gaskets in one. Mine has started leaking.

It's not fun because of the space and there is an oil pressure regulator in it that if touched will cause big trouble for you engine. That being said I believe once they start leaking you just replace the whole thing. I could be wrong but I do know that they are mild steel and rust like the Oil pans do.

Here are some pics.
I did mine last winter. It's a bear to get in and out but it can be done.
I had to use a press to press the ends back on the oil cooler tube. They are a tight fit.
When I reinstalled it I had to jack the motor up a bit to get past the engine crossmember.

Ok thanks for the pics. The relief valve... now do the old ones have a snap ring on them? Also how can they get screwed up?

I've never heard of them screwing any thing up. Sometimes they fall out of the oil filter head. They are supposed to be pinged in to where they won't come out but sometimes they do. Just pay attention how it comes out when you have it removed and are cleaning everything.
