if you have a 2000 psd you will be disapointed in a 6.9 especially on 38's. mine tows 12k lbs pretty good but i got the fuel cranked and it blackens all the roads, which i do not like. but if you get it get a hypermax turbo kit, they dont run bad w/ a turbo.

I hate to see how the suspension is set up to clear those 38s because 10-1 it still has a dana 44 TTB on it. I would like to know what gears & if it can actually turn those 38s.

well I figured it would do pretty decent I had a 89 k5 blazer with a tbi 350 on 37's with 4.56 gears and it pulled like the dickens "I know it was geared to death" I figured for 1000 bucks for a good running truck it would be a good project.

oh yeah prob go with tall and skinny 38.5/11 boggers and a 5.13 gear that will prob wet the tires spenning!

Some of the earlier OBS had a D44 TTB, I know because I had one in a 1991 F-250 gasser. And even that 302HO busted axles and u-joints!!

:whs: I have seen plenty of 80s F250 Diesels with Dana 44 TTBs. Only way you got a 50 on the 80s trucks was if you got a plow package.
