PTSUPERD 08-31-2009, 11:34 PM Took all of like 5 minutes. This thing is really nice. Just plug in to the OBD and go. Monitors two things at once. Mine is currently set to engine oil temp and ICP. I think its a useful tool for sure. I'm approacing csi status now. Equivalency of 6 gauges. LOL
Thank You Joey.

RockinJW 08-31-2009, 11:37 PM They are kind of handy to have at your disposal, thats for sure. I've liked having mine. I did find a list of all the Power Stroke DTC's online and print it off to stick in the jockey box, just to have on hand, so I'd know what each code was.
CSIPSD 08-31-2009, 11:39 PM I loved mine so much I got one for the wifes Excursion too! Very handy! Right now my plug for AE is broken, so I have been using the scan gauge more...
Good place to put it too!
dennisr_f350 08-31-2009, 11:40 PM Looks good, I may get one to use a guages 8, and 9... How many different items can it display, in total, not all at once of course.
PTSUPERD 08-31-2009, 11:46 PM Good place to put it too!
I really didnt want to go drilling holes or adding another big pod...so this worked out.
Kinda hinders reading MPH over 80 or so...but the scan gauge has a MPH setting too. LOL

For those who dont know...it reads and clears codes too.....

all you need to see is under 80...10 over or 50 over your still speeding LOL
PTSUPERD 08-31-2009, 11:55 PM In the past two weeks I've seen the factory speedo (which shows 8 mph slow) pegged more times than I can remember. LOL
Tom S 09-01-2009, 02:41 AM It can also do a buzz and contribution test. I mounted mine down low since it does not dim with the dash lights although you can dim it.

Mine does that as well....but have not hooked up the extra lead for that functionality.
theSLEEPER 09-01-2009, 03:08 AM Can it easily be switched from one vehicle to another???
PTSUPERD 09-01-2009, 03:09 AM Can it easily be switched from one vehicle to another???
Sure....depending on how you have it mounted.
matthewd11 09-01-2009, 03:09 AM Yes it can be switched. Its not vin locked.
I have mine in the same spot as yours garret. Its been a great tool and like you said, several gauges in one. One of the better investments i've made. The buzz test and contribution test are a nice tool to have as well.
And FWIW, it has a faster data rate than AE. No delay in readings. Its all live.
Thuglike 09-01-2009, 03:15 AM It's really a must have. There are hundreds of functions you can monitor and tests to run. Great mod.
Tom S 09-01-2009, 04:01 AM Mine does that as well....but have not hooked up the extra lead for that functionality.
Mine dims with a setting on the gauge and requires no other connections other then the obd port.
Tom
TerminatorEngineering 09-01-2009, 04:17 AM Thanks Garrett, I'm glad your happy!
Tom is correct. Just go to the menu and find the dim function. You can also reverse the lighting if you choose.

Joey,
Does it have a dim function if you hook a lead to a light switch, to dim it to 50% or so? That was one thing my wife did not like. If you set it to where its easy to read during the day, its very bright at night.
When she was running mine, she would throw a hat over it...
RockinJW 09-01-2009, 06:45 PM I run mine on dimmer 3 during the day and 1 during the night.

Thank you kind Sir. :D
So is the price of the scan gauge 269.99? I just wanna make sure I am seeing it right at the website.
dblamp 09-02-2009, 12:05 AM Can it do a CCT without the AIH in place????
Yes. When it is finished, it will display the AIH code.
jgos929 09-30-2009, 10:09 PM You guys that are using the steering column pod. Did you have to trim alot off the back? I just got mine and I dont see it fitting on the column without hacking a big chunk off the back
Thanks

The steering column pod I had fit perfect. Just slipped right on, under the dash

It slips under the dash part and fits great. You will have to move the shifter into first and back into park to get it on.
PTSUPERD 10-01-2009, 12:26 AM Mine went right on. I need to go back and use some double sided tape on the back...but its hardly moved
Do you guys have a picture of the column gauge installed? Does it block any of the factory gauges?
Bushwakd 10-01-2009, 02:00 AM Check the first post.
PTSUPERD 10-01-2009, 02:20 AM Do you guys have a picture of the column gauge installed? Does it block any of the factory gauges?
Anything over 80 or so mph and you cant see the needle. Dont need to be looking down at that mph anyway. :D
SMOK'N BLUE STROKER 10-01-2009, 02:25 AM Does anyone have any pics of the size of the cable? Or have a diameter of it.
CSIPSD 10-01-2009, 04:37 PM Its about the same size as a laptop power cord...
Marty 10-01-2009, 04:41 PM In the past two weeks I've seen the factory speedo (which shows 8 mph slow) pegged more times than I can remember. LOL
Who was driving?
PTSUPERD 10-01-2009, 04:45 PM Who was driving?
It was me. I had wood blocks installed on the pedals so I could reach.
Marty 10-01-2009, 05:02 PM LMFAO.
How much did swamps charge you for that? Hell I know Jonathan's got you way beat on the height... what about Dave? :poke:
PTSUPERD 10-01-2009, 05:32 PM meh....me and Dave gotta be close on height. LOL
TNmatt 10-05-2009, 07:32 PM Will it monitor EGTs as well?
CSIPSD 10-05-2009, 10:40 PM With an added sender yes...
01platinum 10-06-2009, 02:27 AM That is cool. I have been wanting an oil and temp gauge.
despain85 10-06-2009, 02:36 AM I take it this gauge is just for a 7.3?
theham1105 10-16-2009, 07:37 AM i have been waiting since friday for my scan gauge even though i dont have a pod for it yet, if i dont get it by tomorrow im giving terminator a call to see whats up. i cant wait to see all the parameters.
TerminatorEngineering 10-16-2009, 01:50 PM Hey Logan, your gauge is ordered. It takes 10-12 days, because they are made to order. I try to stock them, but sometimes I run out of stock as the orders come in. It will be a direct shipment from Aeroforce, so you should see it in the next few days.
despain85, yes we have them for the 6.0 as well.
Thanks,
Joey@TE
theham1105 10-16-2009, 05:55 PM Oh ok thanks Joey, no big deal just was gonna ask what was up. I just ordered th pod so they should come in about the same time which will work out perfectly.
Thanks for the attention
Tampa450 10-17-2009, 05:03 PM I take it this gauge is just for a 7.3?
They mke the same gauge for the 6.0 and all other kinds of vehicles.
I have the same gauge in the same location as PTSUPERD.
Same colors and everything.
Mine says Aeroforce, and I painted my "pod" tan to match tho.... (you should get on that Garrett....:poke:)
It looks a lil nicer painted IMO.
I never mounted my pod with the push pins or tape, so I just take the whole thing off w/ the gauge, and use it on other trucks if necessary.
I plan on doing a CCT on my next truck before I buy it....(if I can ever find one)
I like the location...I was leary at first...but after we mounted it...and I sat in the drivers seat...I liked it a lot more...
I wanted the scan gauge instead of a pillar full of gauges.
pusnboots 10-17-2009, 05:23 PM anyone have any problems doing a buzz test with theirs?
mine will not complete it for some reason.
Tampa450 10-19-2009, 08:12 PM Mine wont either........You can hear all 8 buzz.....then it says "unable to complete test" or something similer
canister 12-07-2009, 08:27 PM Just got mine and can't do the buzz test or CCT either. They both say unable to finish. Everything is stock on my truck. Any fix to this issue yet?
crowz 12-07-2009, 08:35 PM Did you warm the truck up first for the CCT test?
Also if I remember right it will fail if you have bypassed the AIH?
Correct me if Im wrong folks but theres some mod people like to do that causes the test to not work.
Check for codes and see if theres a code for the air intake heater.
If that codes present it wont run the test from what I remember.

Warmed it up, but maybe I should take it out for a drive first. No mods, all stock. Only code was P0603 because I had the batteries disconnected the other day and I cleared it. Don't know whats wrong? Why would both tests not finish?
southmike 12-08-2009, 01:03 AM Hmm what about an early 99 with no aih..better yet
An early 99 running a pmt..am I in for a rude surprise if I get a scan guage?
CSIPSD 12-08-2009, 06:53 AM E99 is not looking for it so no issue...
I could not tell you once you add a PMT PCM... It will be looking for it.
Some are more particular then others, I have the entire AIH deleted, and I can run the tests, but others I have worked on will not with just the wires to the element gone.
southmike 12-10-2009, 03:54 PM .... yikes
CSIPSD 12-11-2009, 06:57 AM This is with AE as well as the scan gauge...
