Don't know if this is true of the ford trucks but with the cars if the TCS is off or disabled the ABS also won't work. Might want to look into that before pulling it out! I wrote a tune for a 04 mustang and I changed the TCS so it was always OFF and you had to hit the button to turn it ON. Maybe you can get a tune with it like that...

yeah, that would be more convenient but its still there. its off almost all the time but i only get traction on that one tire.
i shoulda asked to not have it when i bought the truck, damn it!

What do you mean by: " i only get traction on that one tire"?

both tires will spin but the passenger side is the one with all the traction.
so if i were to light em up i would only get that power going to one tire mostly.

That is because of physics! When you punch it the axle twists under the force and puts less weight on one wheel versus the other. That is the reason the shocks go opposite ways on either side of the axle. They are trying to resist the twisting force.

but on a rainy day having it off sucks! one would get the rear end moving around.
in the end if i were to sit and light up my tires i would be leaving one black stripe versus two. plus my truck learned mainly having it off all the time.

If it sucks off on a rainy day then why do you want to pull it out?LOL

When does it really ever rain out here in SoCal anyway?LOL

wanna get like an LSD or have positive traction on both all the time... without it dieing out on me, hahaha! would like to do it for both front and back!
i would like to hit up azusa canyon another reason being...even though the truck weighs over 8000

Ya that would be good, now I get your reasoning. The factory limited slip sucks. I looked up my axle code a while back and it showed that my rear end was a 3.73 limited slip, but it will spin one tire all day long!

yeah o got the 3.73 with the same thing. dont really notice much with 37" mudders, haha! tires would break loose a bit with my all terrains but ive toned it down a bit...well until i get the bigger tunesLOL

Mine doesn't have a traction control system. Was this an option?

You seem like a good candidate for some action traction bars . I know I want a set. No more axle wraps.

Yes.

Well, glad I didn't get that option. LOL
