Hey guys...new to the forum. I have been toying with the idea of buying a 6.4and trading my 6.7 dodge. I have owned about a dozen diesels, but not one was a ford....yet:D
Anyway, I have a pricing question and I don't know if this is the appropriate place to put this but....... How much are you guys paying for these trucks. I can get one at invoice minus rebates....does this sound right?
I have done better than this on dodges and chevys in the past but ford is new to me.....any help/insight appreciated!

Ditchin' the dodge for a real truck?LOL

My dad payed 55 for his fully loaded F450 lariat. This was right when the 6.4's came out so I am sure they are cheaper now.

This section is fine I think. Why are you getting rid of the dodge?

:whs: But peopel are getting their 6.4 superduty's used for under 30k used. I dont know what they are new but im sure you could find a good deal on them. For the power you can get out of them for under 2k seems to be good to me :D

Well.....Basically the stock auto is junk, and there are really no reasonable upgrade options as of now. And I am finally coming to grips that there prolly will not be.
I have the dpf/egr deleted, running a smarty or xrt and I can't really run it like I want to. The problem is 5th and 6th gear can't hold much more than 400 ponies reliably. A suncoast upgrade is only guaranteed to 500hp, and guys have been seeing failures at that. Price tag $5,000 bucks. For $10,000 you can swap a full billett 48re(old 4 spd auto) that can handle tons of power......but the price tag....no way. A 6 spd. manual swap runs between $6-7000....again no way. Ford.....you can run 500 ponies, reliably on a STOCK auto. This is unprecidendented in the diesel world, a maybe a long time to come around again. A tuner exhaust intake equals instant hotrod.....plus a much nicer interior.....plus ford didnt get bailed out.....:ford:

Do you remember what rebates were when you bought your truck?
