Rear end

I have a 03 2wd Im building a flat bed for the truck and want to put a dually rear in it. Does it matter if it comes off a 2wd or 4wd truck thanks for the help

Should be a Dana 80 I think 2 & 4 should be the same. Most if them are 4.10 gears what are yours now? Might need to change some things to make it work with the electronics.

I want to say there 410 gears but I will have to check for sure tomorrow when I go back to work. is there anything else that I would need to know in order to do this or would it be a pretty simple swap.


do you have to change the springs or anything esle

I personally have not performed this swap. I can't say if the spring perches are in the same location or not. You will probably need a driveshaft, I think the Dana is longer than the sterling and would use a shorter driveshaft. Just a guess. Maybe someone who has done this before will jump in. Most 2wd sterlings are 3.73's
