heyy ive been talking to some friends im from mass and ive gotten many different answers i was wondering if what do you think of me snowplowing with a sct tunner its my first year with the chip and im not sure it i should return the truck to stock or leave it in?:ford:

Joe, I have plowed in my truck with a chip on it for the past 3 winters. I usually leave it on the lowest setting.

I would think a low setting or a tow file or something would be best most likely.
I bet innovatives race file would work pretty good for clearing off a parking lot though :evil
are you guys plowing for the state or residential/commercial contracts of your own? I would like to do some but curious how the work is out there. Last winter seemed like it was pretty good.

I wouldnt do it..and I dont...the truck is already under enough stress plowin..why add more power to stress the truck more...You dont need the power..plus with the added plowin comes more heat..which when plowing you can get your trans hot enough stock...thats just my oppion tho

Plow in 4 Low, keeps the converter locked iirc. Like it was stated above, you are already stressing everything enough by doing the job at hand. If you don't like it stock try your lowest tune and go from there. You have gauges? Between those and your senses you should be able to tell if you're taxing the truck too much in the more aggresive tunes.

thanks guys i know its only june but i wanted to get some imput early plus i plow streets and not driveways and like i said neva had a chip till now so thanks for your help

if you do any plowing with a tuner make sure your in a low setting

nice yea deff you should let me know when you go i got friends with powerstrokes and im trying to get them to join the site but they want to come hang with us at like an event before they do
