Looking at a Tony Wildman or any custom tuner, going in my 1996 F-350 farm truck, 7.3 with the stage 2 DIY injectors done this winter/spring, DT466 Cam sensor, 5 speed manual tranny, Isspro Pryro, 3" down pipe and 3.5" exhaust, intake is stock with most of the box cut away. Trucks is used for a lot of towing of trailers, hauling bales, cattle, and corn in the fall. mostly between 20,000 amd 26,0000 gross, in the fall often over 26,000 to 32,000. Looking to get the High idle and smoke tunes, what would be the best other tunes for this truck for the best towing and most horsepower for on the dyno and generel driving around and pissing imports off?

Might think about ditching the Dt466 cam sensor if you geta chip as it retards timing and well thew truck will be smokey as all get out with tunes.

I know it retards timeing but it also has not gone out like the 444E cam sensors, i'll worry about it after the tunes are in. if it dont smoke any worse then it does now i wont worry about it couse it take a bit for it to smoke with the superchip it has now.

I'm sure Tony (or whoever you ultimately go with) can probably compensate for the sensors, as long as you tell them about it.

You will need an intercooler for sure towing all that weight with bigger injectors and maby water njection too.

Tony Wildman, Swamps, or Matt Robinson would all be good choices.

They're all site sponsors, so post up in the vendor's forum asking what you'd like to have.

I used PHP. That's who my injector builder recomended. It's my first custom tuner so it's hard to compare, but sure work well for pulling 18k. Bill is great to deal with too. but as was said everyone of the tuners on here are going to be good.

Which 1? I just ordered a SCT w/custom TW tunes. I'm going to post as soon as I get it in and compare to the limp hypertech I already have.

tony is a great guy to deal with. like said above you need an intercooler, also dont get smoke tunes. the extreame settings will blow enough smoke with those big injectors. also why do you wanna drive around blowing smoke?

for as much as you with your truck..DP may be the best...16 different tunes and 20-80hp tow settings...you could have alot of different tunes for your truck with them...

I can't say for DP I am sure his are great but of the ones I have tried I like PHP the best, and TW.
