Maintain goes 13.1 @ 105. 7800 Pounds on 33 Sts's

Just got off the phone, Marty's first run of the night was a 13.1 @ 105. 1.8X 60ft. Once he figures out the launch he should see some 12's tonight. I'll keep yall posted on my iphone


This is 7800lbs; Weight bar hanging off the front, Pulling hitch, lockouts, traction bars, 33x12.5 super swampers sts, and a half a tank of fuel. Awesome. Congrats. This thing is really going to haul azz once he drops weight and swaps the tires out.

105 mph is good enough for some mid 12's if he can gets 60fts down. If he can swap to a lighter tire / wheel combo and drop weight i wouldnt be suprised to see his mph jump up 4 to 5 mph. Which should run low 12's with good traction. Shoot ive seen a 3mph difference just by swaping from 33x12.50 all terrains bFG's to 265-70-16 Generals. Those sts's are heavy too.

his first launch was around 10 lbs of boost and a high 60 ft...

his second run he flashed the converter... and ran a 14.50 somethin at 105mph...

his truck launches like crap. mine was doing the same thing, like it just rolls into the power...nothing there on the take off. what were his 60's?

looked like in the first video it just layed down out of the hole.... 2nd vid even worse...he needs to leave harder. im not sure what flashing the converter means but...it makes the power, thats for sure.

Yeah. You could see how much better I got out of the hole. But at about half track he blew my doors off. I think he has to adjust his tranny a lil for the higher hp now. He'll get it dialed in.

This is the same problem I had before that I thought I had fixed. This BTS was built for 550 rwhp, so maybe the valve body needs drilled or something I don't know. It will just flat out loose all boost at the launch and fall on its face.

well when i get the front add-a-leafs on lets throw em on and see if I need to stick with 33's even though I would rather have the 35's.

are you having trouble building boost on the line???

If so, then the sprag in your converter is toast...if not...then what's the F'n holdup at the LINE??!? :D

The videos look like my truck off the line when my sprag was toast....It should hit harder and light faster???? Congrats though! Looks like fun!! Who's tuning??

Thats exactly what i was doing with stock turbo, 1.91 60'. I'm spinning the first 50' now and getting 1.85 60'. I need a friggin posi now:doh::evil

i disagree. when my stator went..it built 0psi ....no matter what i did. i had these same symptoms as well..it was too much fuel down low. it would build boost fine on the line..then die out of the hole. the reason i know it wasnt the stator, i tried a tune with less fuel down low and it went away. big turbo and hella fuel with stock stall is tough to leave hard with. at least for me that was the case. the biggest problem i had was..i would build more boost than the suspension could handle to leave with it lit..and blow the tires off...crappy for my 60fts.

Brian said its a sprag. He's sending me a new converter. I told brian I'm probably closer to 600-650 now then the 500-550 the transmission was originally intended for. He said how are the shifts, I said pretty smooth. He said he'd send the schematic on drilling the shift plate in case I wanted harder shifts.

I think with a good launch I should have been seeing 12.65's at 106 or better with this setup. Go set it up to race and I don't think a 12.3/12.2 at 108/109 is out of the question.

At TS... if I get my converter in by then hopefully ya'll will see some 12.6's on 35's :ford:
