I am new to the form as well as Diesels so please forgive the stupid questions.
I have a 95 PSD and have fresh air intake, 3" down pipe and gauges.
I read alot about 10K mod, does it help I want to order a TW when I get the money will it work with his box?
OK now for the good stuff, what can I do on the cheap to help the truck?
And with the recomendations if you know of a how to link I would appriciated it.
Thanks,

Once you got the basics, the exhaust and the intake, everything goes up from there. It's a matter of your definition of "cheap". In my eyes none of this is "cheap", but I'd say after a chip the next is maybe an intercooler. Then maybe some injectors and a turbo. Again, its really just a matter of how much you really wanna spend at a given point in time.

A 10k mod on top of a well-tuned chip is useless. TW tunes your chip with the correct amount of ICP. A 10k mod will only throw that out of wack...
Some people see an increase in throttle responce and a smoother idle with an HPO cross-over hose... You might try that.

Do a search for the IDM mod. I am happy with mine. local electronics supply store raped me for a whole 75 cents for the resistor. Now my wife is compaining :blah::blah::blah: something about trying to make the truck a hot rod. I have TW chip ordered too.

That mod is the best but if you screw it up your injector drive module is not cheap. I wouldn't bother with the 10k mod unless you want it before you get a chip. Then shim the Fuel pressure regulator is another .02 mod that ups your fuel pressure both will be noticable and will work with a chip, bigger injectors, ect.

havent done one myself, but from pics and descriptions i've seen it doesnt seem to be all that hard if you know a little with tools, and some basic fabrication. I'd say the biggest part of it is probably the time, since the whole front end has to come off (grille, lights, bumper, etc., everything besides front body sides).
Thanks for the responses, What DIY stage ones do you recommend?
