Burning used rotella

Anybody done it? Heres what Im thinking, since I have about 20 gallons of used rotella sitting in the barn: I have a 50 gallon tranfer tank in the bed of my truck, with a pump that will pump anything. I was going to buy a 10 micron or so filter that will just screw right in line with the pump with 3/4" fittings, to kind of ease the pump and filter a little I was thinking of mixing 20 gallons of diesel in the tank as well, before I run it through the filter. So I would be filtering a 50/50 mix of oil/diesel Would I hurt anything doing this or should I go with a smaller micron filter? What would a good final ratio of Oil be? 20%? Remind you I live in Florida, it doesn't snow here (so im not worried about viscosity too much). I would just like to do something to of set the ridiculous price of fuel.

I had a feeling that might be the case, I was just trying to find a good use for it... I just thought I have heard of people running WVO - Waste Vehicle oil.

oo I thought that was SVO....

But now that you mention it, what if I could use SVO/WVO with the same filtering method, etc I mentioned in the original post?

if using WVO/SVO you would want a seperate tank, and not put it in the fuel tank. There are kits out there that do this, a tank with lines to reroute hot coolant through tank to heat the oil so it is thinner and flows better.

You can blend WVO and SVO right in the tank I did it multipule times.Went 50% once.Don't know what winter would do.

Did you filter it? I found a 15 GPM 10 micron/ water seperator filter that will go on my transfer pump for 30 bucks.

SVO = straight veggie oil. New not waste.

And yes you do want to filter the WVO, dont want breading or french fries trying to fo through the fuel system.

Dogs and cats will run away from a truck that smells like Chinese food. Might also want to check for lead content.

Not only that , but using chicken fat would be a waste of goode gravy.

We've got an oil burning heater out in our shop. Thing works awesome, its a good source to dispose of that used oil. Plus, it makes for pretty cheap heat in a 50x75 shop.

Just a thought
