i know this happenns but on the doors in the bottom corner of the window opening, where the weather stripping stops and meets the paint, my paint is peeling and its an 06. wtf.also i have painted bumpers that are peeling. do you think ford will warranty this, or what could i do. one guy told me take por15 and dab on there and then hit it with touch up paint.

I would check out your mowners manuel and see what warranty is give on the paint/fit and finish. If you are still covered under factory warranty, I don't see why it woulndn't be covered.

I got my 99 sd repainted in 2000 because of paint flaking off, and it was warrantied. As long as nothing you did caused it, if its under warranty you should be able to get it warrantied. Don't volunteer any info to the dealer, just say paint is peeling off and see what they say. If you don't like the answer the give you, just call the number in the owners manual and start a complaint process. If that don't work out, you could always get a lawyers opinion on the matter, but you would probably be better off at that point paying for it yourself.

when i took it to ford the first time, about three months after buying the truck. the front bumper was peeling. they told me it was from rock chips, witch was bull####. i hate dealers

I can't belive your 06's paint is peeling. We had a 87 dually that 15 years later the paint was still good. Hope the dealer covers it!

My '01 has rusting in the bottom corners of the window. I believe the weather strip has metal in it and gradually wears through the rubber. It starts rubbing and thereby exposing bare metal.

wow,that sucks.mine is peeling at the bottom of the doors and at the bottom of the wheel wells but its 11 years old,not 3.Sorry to hear it.I wonder if its bad paint or its been repainted before and not done properly.

no i bought it brand new and it has never been painted. its just on the bottom corners of the window. im going to take it ford and see if i can have something done
