It won't work so I'll come pick it up.

Just kidding, easiest way if pulling it out of truck is simple, take the bolts out of leaf spring ends and the track bar bracket bolts at the frame and knock the drag link off at the pitman arm and unhook brake lines and shocks, roll it under your truck and bolt up the leaf springs and track bar bracket and drag link and shocks/brakes good to go.

The axle is already out, just trying to see if there is anything else i might need.

If you go to Auto Zone you can get everything that you need for the swap. I have the list around here somewhere. It should total up to $240 + axle & alignement. That includes things like tierods & such. If I find it I'll post it up.

I don't know what year truck he's working on but I can't find a 3rd bracket riveted to the frame, yes you need to remove the 2 bolted on pivot brackets that mounted to the ttb and you sure as heck don't want to use the leaf springs that are on the ttb like he seems to have unless you like to bleed out your kidneys. I know my aftermarket dropped pitman arm is the same part # for a 250 as a 350 but unless you are lifting I don't think it would matter.

The one part I did forget is it would be best to get the driveshaft from the donor if it is a 92 350 as it should be a double jointer.

I assumed you were wanting to know just what you had to have not what might need to be replaced on the donor one my bad.

Plan on upgrading to a good set of lockouts like Warns or Mile Marker too. You might have to re-gear to, the front or rear it's your call. Really depends what your looking to do with it.

well from my understanding the axle is of 4.10 ratio, and if it isnt i can get a set of gears for $50. I dont want to go any "lower" than 4.10 cause i already have problems keeping the tires from spinning, lol. Will my lockout hubs from the dana 50 TTB work? and if not i'd rather go with warn, cause i wont be remembering what mile i got stuck on, (milemarker).

From every thing that I know they will interchange. You can look for a tag on the diff cover on the axle that should say what oil to use & 3.55 / 3.54 or 4.10. For running those 35s I'd stick with the 4.10s so you don't loose power.

if i wanted to fit on a set of 37's or 38's what else would i need?
also i do alot of highway driving and some off-road stuff, so would the detroit locker be better for me in the rear or the detroit true-trac, possible the auburn posi?
Thanks

I would go 37's cause there are a lot of good tires in 37's now that have a good load rating and should last a while and if I did, I would run over to Sky's in Springfield and pick up their 5 inch RSK and put some superduty x springs or aftermarket 2 inch springs for a superduty for the front(or 3 inch RSK and 4 inch over superduty springs), I know that shop by sky's(dunks I think) has take-offs a lot and even lift springs from someone going to a bigger lift and they just charge what they get for salvage.

For the back I would go with a 6 inch total lift switch to a f350 block and get 4inch over springs.

Not to mention, a pitman arm, shocks, brake lines, the detroit is great just get a noisy one sometimes.

I JUST RECENTLY DID A SOLID AXLE SWAP(DANA 60) ON MY 96 F250 HONESTLY YOU NEED A FEW PARTS THAT ARE KIND OF HARD TO FIND UNLESS YOU HAVE A DONOR F350 TRUCK. YOU NEED THE DRIVER SIDE LEAF SPRING BRACKET IT ISNT WELDED ON TO THE AXEL LIKE THE PASSENGER SIDE IS BECAUSE IT GOES OVER THE DIFFERENTIAL. LEAFS FROM AN F350 OR BUY LIFT SPRINGS OR A FULL LIFT KIT FOR A 96 F350, WHICH WAS MY CHOICE AT THE TIME BECAUSE IT CAME WITH NEW LEAVES BUSHINGS, SHOCKS AND HARDWARE. ALSO YOU NEED THE TRACTION BAR BRACKET OFF THE FRAM OF A F350 WHICH IS THE HARDEST PART TO FIND. THEN THAT TRACTION BAR, YOU CAN BUY THE ADJUSTABLE ONE BUT UNLESS YOU WANNA PUT A 6" LIFT ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. THE PITMAN ARM "STEERING BOX ARM" IS THE SAME UNLESS YOU WANT TO LIFT YOUR TRUCK THEN YOU NEED A DROP ARM. THE ONLY OTHER THING YOU NEED IS THE STEERING COMPONENTS FROM A F350, THE CENTER LINK TIERODS THE CENTER LINK AND TIERODS. THE PROJECTCOST ME: $340 FOR THE CHEAPER OF THE 2 OPTIONS THEY HAVE FROM NAPA, THE SKYJACKER SOFT RIDE 4" LIFT KIT WAS $980 WITH THE NITRO SHOCKS, THEN YOU NEED BREAK LINES BECAUSE OF THE LIFT WHICH WAS THE ONLY THING THE SKYJACKER KIT DIDNT COME WITH $100. THEN SINCE YOU HAVE A LEAF SET FOR THE SHORTER F250 I BOUGHT A SKYJACKER SOFT RIDE "LONG" 3 INCH LIFT ADD A LEAF FOR $100 THAT BRINGS THE TRUCK UP ABOUT 1/2 TO 3/4" TALLER IN REAR BUT THE TRUCK IS SO LONG ITS HARD TO TELL PLUS IF YOU ACTUALLY DO USE IT LIKE A TRUCK ITS NICE TO HAVE A LITTLE EXTRA IN THE REAR SO ITS NOT A SQUATING DOG WITH WEIGHT IN THE BED. THE LIFT RIDES AMAZING THOUGH IT IS A F350 WHEIGHT RATED SUSPENSION WITH LIFETIME WARANTY SHOCKS AND IT HAS A COMFORTABLE RIDE LIKE A F150. OH AND BTW YOU NEED A 410 GEAR SET IN THAT DANA 60 OR IT WILL KILL THE TRANSFER CASE 90% OF THE OBS POWERSTROKES HAVE A 410 GEAR IN THE REAR AND THE 4 INCH KIT WILL SUPPOSEDLY TAKE A 38" TIRE BUT I THINK IT WILL BE CLOSE
