how would one get all the gauges to work correctly with a 12 valve cummins? :(

if you swapped it into a 03 6.0

Have to have a 60 minus 2 tone ring and a pickup using either the 6.0 cam sensor or a Autometer diesel tach pickup. For the tone ring you can use a cr ring and adapt it or I have taken the balancer and had it notched at my machine shop for a 58 tooth pickup.

Will this tone ring also work for a 7.3L IDI tach? If so, can it be purchased by itself from Cummins?

Autoworld sells a kit to mount the tone ring and yes the tone ring is a Dodge/Cummins part.

The 58 tooth will not work with a IDI, that will more then likely be a 4 tooth but I am not positive on that.

Doesn't the IDI read it's signal from the injection pump gear? I was thinking it was something like 56 teeth, that is why I wondered about the CR tone ring. Isn't it the gas tach/ecm that only requires 4 pulses?

As far as the other guages in the dash go just install the Ford sending Units in the cummins engine.

The easiest way I know of to hook up the tach Is with the Destroked Kit, Either with the Tone Rings for the older engines or the new electronic box for the CRs.
