After the Run....

Another Newboo question....

I am going to the Drag Strip (1/8th mile) this Saturday.
I haven't got my EGT gauge on the truck yet...should be here Monday:(

So after I make say two 1/8th mile passes what is the best way to get the EGT's back to normal??

Let the truck idle for ___ minutes or shut it down and return in ___minutes??

get that EGT gauge in ASAP. What ever you do DON'T shut the truck off right after the runs. Let idle for 5-7 mins i think

your egts will drop pretty quick, in a matter of seconds, oil and water temp may take awhile. In my opinion an egt gauge doesent really do much good at the drag strip, what are you gonna do lift at 1200 degrees?
