I am looking at buying a '92 F350 Flatbed it has 160,000 miles on it looks and runs good. I used to drive this truck several years ago where i used work and know the truck pretty well. Any ideas of potential hazards i need to look out for as well as any mods i might be able to do? My old boss said he would take $3500 for it. Would it be worth it or should i work on the price with him a lil bit?

IMHO in would be worth it but it depends on what your planning on doing with it. But my dad asking $4000 OBO for his 3/4 ton but we are selling it on Feb. 7 on a sale.

Don't really have any plans yet other than hauling the bobcat around with it.
What year is your dads 3/4 ton and mileage?

Dads 3/4 ton is a '92 extended cab long box no turbo. pulled the f*** out of her. she got new fuel pump and line this last year. and i have no clue what mileage would be. My guess would be around 12-18 give or take with the wind at your back. haha. but in there time they were a great pickup.

So cab & chasses truck, if anything else you have a awesome platform for a work truck. Kinda my dream truck actually, a OBS F350 4x4 flatbed dually.
Just the usual things to watch out for make sure there's no water in oil or oil in water & you get it just dump a SCA bottle in there for piece of mind. Check & see that the tranny fluid is good & not burnt, maybe plan on ball joints & a tierod or 2, U joints you know the usual stuff. Always try to talk him down on the price but sounds like toy know the truck pretty good if you drove it everyday.
