powerstroke742008 12-17-2008, 11:24 PM i have cab lights on my truck now and i want to get clear cab lights but recon does not make any is there any other cab lights from different truck years that are direct fit????
i do not want to drill holes in my cab!!!
The only lights that will work that I know of are 3rd gen dodge lights. The only problem is you have to drill holes. They are the only ones big enough to cover the factory holes.
powerstroke742008 12-17-2008, 11:35 PM hmm i want clear lights bad but i really dont think i want to drill holes the mess my headlinner up:mad:

StrokerTurbo7.3 12-18-2008, 12:23 AM I "think" not exactly sure if it is the company but I think Putco makes a clear L.E.D. 3rd brake light. Not sure about tail lights.
Again I only think LOL
1badpsd 12-18-2008, 03:20 AM putco makes L.E.D third brake lights for out trucks, i have one. and i am also the one who put the 3rd gen recons on mine heres some pics

powerstroke742008 12-18-2008, 03:27 AM damn those look good i just might have to get some
BigStroker 12-19-2008, 12:46 AM My 3rd gen and 3rd brake light came today.......I found cheaper third brake lights that look just like Putco ones though

Pic of it, please. Also, does the cruise still work with the LED 3rd brake light? Or did you add the load resistor?
Thanks

Go to ford or the junk yard. All the aftermarket ones come w a POS harness. For placement.... Do you know of anyone that has a lund visor laying around? Just tape the visor to the roof. There are reliefs for factory cab lights. Just pencil em in. That way if you ever put a visor on your truck there will be no worries about fitting
joebob3093 02-09-2009, 03:16 AM we messured and made a little pattern when we did mine

96 stroker 02-09-2009, 09:45 PM do just the lenses come off or is it all one piece? and how does each light plug in?
diesel_brad 02-09-2009, 10:19 PM 2 screws hold them down. the lens and the frame are one piece. It is just a 1/4 turn socket 194 bulb

How are they POS?Do the materials just seem cheap?I'm sure Ford would charge me an arm and a leg for one, but I bet the parts are obselete like everything else they USED to carry for these trucks.Good thing there's guys like everyone on here to keep them alive!
