I just put a front hitch on my truck, problem solved. ;) Makes pulling out/getting pulled out easier, plus a whole ton of other handy things.

A receiver is always th eBest way but I just like the looks of hooks. Tom S has some of the Colibert hooks they look sharp!

I just ordered a set of these tow hooks a few days ago so they are still available. I talked to Jeremy .

Thanks to Tom for helping me get hooked up :D
And I agree a receiver is the best way I just couldn't help ordering these while they are still around.

OBS trucks don't need tow hooks on the front - only needed on the rear to pull out SuperDuty's. ;)

I am surprised they still have those.

How much did they cost? Just curious. They are nice, but.......

They are some nice hooks! But would they work w a RSK?

Im gonna say no. It looks like they use two existing holes in the frame horn, and one of those is partially covered by the RSK, and i dont think you can trim the RSK enough to clear it due to the way it bolts to the frame. A profile pic of them installed would be nice :D

They were $66.65 delivered.

Thanks for the pic!

Definitely nice pieces, but i can now say that its not gonna work with the Sky RSK, they just go too far back on the frame. Thats a shame, i probably woulda bought a set.

http://www.colibert.com/ best to call it took some time for the email to get replied. fact i had already ordered them and then got a reply a week later. The guy that emailed me (not Jeremy) said they would not wirk on a 97 but I do not think he realized I have an OBS truck.
Also he said they would not wirk on a standard cab which I have. I think he is just trying to bust my bubble.

I just spoke with the this morning & they do still sell them & yet he didn't know if they would work with a RSK.
I also have the sky unit & its thicker than the ORU kit.
So I sent them an e-mail showing them how the RSK looks mounted & i'm waiting for a reply..

What did you guys finally end up running since I revived this dead thread?

Looks like I'm gonna go with some custom built front & rear tube bumpers...
So I'll just add a center hitch mount to it & call it good. :D

Have you ever put a good load on them? I just wonder about them bending if you weren't pulling straight.

Blanco

Not to mention that if you pull to hard on just one side you might tweek your frame..
Its always better to pull from both sides at the same time.

I'm going to see if someone can fab me up a cross member if you will with hooks that hang down. I'm not paying $150 for a receiver hitch...

I would think they will work on all reg, ex and cc trucks.

Me too, but the manufacturer says no, and they are sold out of the reg cab ones. So, I think I am making one. If anybody wants one for a reg cab PM me.
