Not sure if this is the right place for this.

Truck wont fire, but turns over:lame:. I will check the #22 fuse to see if it has shorted out. Already changed the cps. If I can't get this figured out, where is the closest shop with a clue to corvallis. Thanks guys

If Joe comes home from WA that way, he might throw auto enginuity on it.

You have a laptop? You could get AE for less than the shop bill, probably.

Pm Joe CSIPSD

Well checked all the fuses tonight, pulled the chip, checked the oil, still has 1/4 tank of fuel, cranks but wont start. Had it towed to the house tonight. Might be able to get a truck and trailer to take it to a shop, don't know where yet. What shop is Joe going to?

There's a really good turbo guy in Corvallis:redspotdance:

Yeah too bad it wasn't turbo related..........wait a minute, maybe my wife will believe me if I told her it was. While I'm at it I'll tell her that it needs new head studs, valve springs and a bigger fuel pump:D

Thanks for the info Joey I might try him. Hopefully it isn't something I've overlooked I don't want everyone laughing at me:pointlaugh: Course if it is something simple I'll never admit to it;)

What happened prior to it not firing?

Super chity idle, no power under throttle with loss of power, then just died on me going down the road. There is sat for 3 days til I had it towed home last night.

was their any white smoke during these symptoms? My guess would be the UVCG (from previous experience)

no white smoke. I'll try my best to describe what happened. I started my truck up and headed for work. It had a super bad idle and no power. It was dark enough for headlights and I noticed they would go bright and dim, as in low light out put and higher light out put, not high beams and low beams. While driving down the road the truck continued to fall off on power and eventually died. I have replaced the cps, and checked all the fuses, to the best of my knowledge all fuses check out ok.

Hmmm, IDM? You just need access to AutoE, and you'll find it fast.

Same symptoms I had when My alternator went south.

If you key the truck on what does the in-dash voltage gauge look like? I have driven on no alternator before and I loose everything else before I lose the engine. Like, radio goes blank, windows and door locks are nota, and she keeps on purrin.

If it doesn't turn out to be dead batterys from a toasted alternator, some things to check.

What's the fuel pressure, what's the oil pressure, what's the high pressure oil doing. If it ever fires try unplugging one UVC harness at a time and see if anything changes. If nothing changes when one is unplugged, but it completely stops running when the other is unplugged I would say one of the high-side outputs in the IDM went south.

But do check the vehicle voltage, that's a good start.

Keep us posted.

I'll have to check the volt meter. When I key the truck the radio and WTS light come on. As far as checking all the other stuff I will probably have to wait til this weekend until someone with AutoE can check it out. Thanks boss.

I'm not in the area right now... but will be starting a new job in Warrenton (astoria) next week... Like the others said, UVC is my first guess, but first get some voltage in the thing... Did Danny ever get AE???

Anyone else confirm connecting to AutoE with an early 95 or 94 PSD?

Finally got that SOB running. The cause...........a bad relay:doh::pointlaugh:
My fuel pump is set up to run through a relay and the pump wasn't coming on causing a horrible idle and loss of power which eventually led to it shutting off. I also had to buy two new batteries.
Now I can start spending money on fun stuff again:postwhore2:DI's new H2E up pipe kit:poke:

A big thanks to Kainers for stopping by so late to run Auto E on my truck, and Ford Forgotten for giving me suggestions on chasing the problem down.
Thanks Joey for your help and suggestions as well as giving me a call to talk about the problem, and answering your phone so late, when mike gave you a ring. PwrStrknDlly thanks for answering all my PM's.
