:ford:I was driving today, and i noticed my truck smoking (white/blue). And it starting hesitating a bit. It was getting low on fuel (40 miles to E ), so i thought maybe it was getting some trash in thre. I stopped and put in 15 gallons, and let it sit an run for a minute ( and it did its normal HI REVING ). It seems to do it more and more. When i apply the footbrake, the idle does down. Is that common ? I was told my dealer , that it is. I can live with tat, but the smoking, and minor hesitatng is worrying me. I dont have any money right now, and cant afford to take my truck, or be without my truck for any length of time..

Could this just be bad fuel, from one of these Indian stores, trying to dilute there diesel, tomake more money?

I paid 62,000 for a trruck that is smoking now... Can anyone help me? PLEASE

is it out of warranty? if you take it to the dealer under waranty and still need a truck, won't they give you a loaner truck:shrug:

it has 43k, and no, they wont give loaners, and its 3 week wait. You know if its ok to plug it up, without doing anything else? Just plug it in, and leave it alone?

Plug what in and leave it alone? No it definitely sounds like something wrong with your truck because all diesel will smoke, there is some special "bad diesel" that is the only one that will smoke. There are multiple things that could be going wrong with the truck causing it to smoke blue/white. A 3 week wait to get your truck worked on? That's ridiculous find another dealership and get it looked at under warranty.

The "HI REVING" is your truck going into a Regeneration to clean the DPF, by applying the brake you cancel the Regeneration it was trying to go into. It sounds like to me your truck really wants to Regen and you're not letting it, get it on the highway for an extended time or when your get the higher idle let it idle until it drops back down to it's normal idle level.

Also how have you been doing on maintenance? Ever changed the fuel filters?

Also did you really pay 62k for the truck, that would be full sticker...
