ya i have but i got to readin and aparrantly we have been goin the wrong way. they smoked less and idle nice and smooth so seemed right and my buddy w/ a 6.2 said he had to roll his to the drivers side. but read it should smoke more and read in a service manual to go counterclock to advance. i took my 6.9 from a 1/8 retard to 1/8 advance goin from what i read and it made a little diff maybe but smoke a little more. sorry for rambling lol

You turn the pump to the passenger's side to advance it. Counter clock-wise would be toward's the passenger's side. It's been awhile since I've messed with an IDI, brings back memories of my '83 6.9! LOL Even cranked way up man was that thing slow!! :doh:

GM injection pumps rotate the oposite direction of Ford pumps. On a GM you turn it to the drivers to advance on a Ford you turn it to the passenger.
