Best high boost bypass mod

I have the bigger Garret turbo in my 01', I have the "mapsimizer mod" in it, the pig tail between the MAP sensor and the PCM. I am just asking what you guys use, recommend? I see this over boost anniliator, the blow off valve version, and my my mod. what would be the best. Also is feeding the MAP sensor over 30 psi good for it? For some reason after I installed the Mapsimizer I felt as if the truck didnt run as strong..

With the bullydog at the 120 setting I can get around 33-34 PSI, I am also getting the reading just after the turbo, my next investment might be a T fitting for the Map sensor and get the boost reading from the manifold rather then before all the possible leak spots (intercooler boots).

What I plan on doing later this week is buying one of those regulators from Homo Depot along with 1/4" barb fittings, hooking it up to the air compressor and set it at 20PSI, then sticking it just before the MAP sensor. I'll see what I have done by the end of the week. I'll report back and see how well it works, I might just do a DIY boost gauge while I'm it for the time being.

Overboost annihilator from ITP diesel.

I have had the SP dongle piece of crap and it still threw codes. I got the regulator from ITP, and it all went away.

That is just one very bias openion....

Keep Strokin'

I think that the ITP over boost anniliatoris the best that you can get it is simple and easy to install.

An the nice thing about ITP's is that it comes with a bracket so you don't have to make anything or just have it hanging there.

Cool I will order one today, like I said I feel as if my mapsimizer isnt good for two reasons, it still alows a sensor that maxes out at 20-25psi to see and FEEL over 30 (35 for me), and I feel as if by plugging into the harness your messing with the line voltage to the computer for inproper readings during boost curve in results a inacurate MAP.

Two choices for ya

ITP's or DI's both work great and both are sponsors:D

i've bought stuff from dennis (and he is a really good guy), but i can't justify about 2x what i just spent to build one in 2 minutes ($26 - i even got a gauge :hehe:).

I'm not sure I haven't been by Homo Depot yet this week, but I took a good look at them last time I was there, I didn't buy it then because I only bring enough money to buy what I have on my list. It prevents the impulse buys. ;)
