Could be done for $10K or up to whatever you want to spend. I'll probably be at $15K myself, but I spend more on the engine than most do (it's essentially brand new with only 5 miles on it) and I've got quite a bit in mods too, with turbo, injectors, cam, valve springs, head studs, etc... I expect to be at close to 600 HP. It kind of depends on what kind of deal you can find on an engine and how much you want to spend on mods.

Haha, in case yall haven't noticed those not doing the labor themselves are going to be paying quite a bit more. Like me LOL, but if I even attempted it I would flunk all my classes and be SOL not to mention Kai's phone wouldve been ringing non stop. I dont regret my decision though, Bean is a wonderful guy and I feel he deserves every penny he makes off me.

same here...no regrets on having Hellmann do mine. It cost too damned much but it was worth every penny.

Labor costs where a partial factor in why I wanted to do it myself. I also enjoy this kind of thing, and wanted the experience.

Oh, and Kai's phone number has been on speed dial for the last few months. :D He's been an awesome and patient help though and I can't even begin to thank him enough.

Just re-read this...I should have said the whole project cost too much...Joe's labor was very, very reasonable.
