EBP, BARO, MAP comparison

Hey guys, just ran this test and wanted to know if it is normal for EBP to jump 4 PSI going from KOEO to KOER? And MAP seems to be low, any thoughts..?

KOEO:
EBP = 12.4 PSI
BARO = 12.1 PSI
MAP = 11.7 PSI

KOER: (idiling)
EBP = 16.1 PSI
BARO = 12.1 PSI
MAP = 11.9 PSI

Thanks,
Brad

It looks like me that your MAP is reading a little too low. They should all be within 0.5 psi at KOEO. It is normal for EBP to rise when the engine is on.

Thanks Mark. What do you suggest to do as far as any further testing, or cleaning, etc?

Check 1 check 1, 2... this thing on?

I thought your map should be reading 14 psi..... Atmospheric pressure... At a minimum.. Same with ebp...

Well, probably closer to sea level. With the barometer of 29.92 which equates to about 14.7 PSI, again being a sea level reading. With that standard the pressure at Denver is 12.1 PSI or a barometer of about 24.63. And you can tell with the decrease in HP up here as well.

Just ran the same test on my buddies '07 and the EBP sensor was toggling between 12 and 17 PSI kinda intermittently (weird). His BARO was 12.1 PSI, but unlike mine, his MAP was at around 12.4 PSI (KOER) My MAP stayed under 12.0 during both KOEO and KOER.

Does anyone know the voltage range for the EBP, BARO, and MAP sensors? And where is the MAP located?

Thanks,
Brad

I am not aware of any cleaning that can be done on the MAP - EXCEPT, you can pull the hose off and make sure it isn't plugged.

The MAP sensor is towards the firewall - close to the heater control valve.

Brad it is mounted backwards kind of facing the drivers seat. Small hose runs from it to the intake manifold.
I just replaced my map sensor, was getting map/baron sensor correlation codes and now a low voltage to the map sensor...ahhh
