Loud whistle at high rpm's?

I recently did the 10k mod to my 2000 powerstroke. After about a day of having the mod installed I had an extremely loud whistle noise coming from what seems like the turbo. It only happens when I put my foot to the floor and it sounds like it's coming through the vents it's so loud. I took the resistor for the mod out and it still makes the noise. Ii will mention that I did lose the o ring for the Injector Pressure Control sensor but I don't believe that would cause this noise. Any suggestions? I'm going to go record the noise and attach a video here shortly.

ItsS going to be a boost leaK. Pull your driverside intercooler pipe off and inspect it. If you overtighten the clamp it makes the tube unround......

I checked everything out and didn't see anything noticeable. It's dark right now so I'll have to take a better look tomorrow. It's just weird that it happened right when I did the 10k mod...

Well the 10k mod does mean 10,000 hp! haha but yea on a serious note check your IC boots.

not to derail this but what is the 10k mod?

You put a 10k resistor in the Injector Pressure Control sensor. It adds a little horsepower supposedly. Makes the pedal more touch and the truck idle rougher.

One of your boots could have a hair line slit in it, youll probably see it in some light tomorrow other than that your boots should still be the first to inspect.

I checked the boots and everything... nothing visible. Should I be checking after the turbo as well? I have absolutely no clue what is going on with it. I bought a boost gauge to check if I'm losing boost because the truck feels like it has a little less getup.

please do us all a favor so we can help you out more and fill out your sig with all your info about your truck, including anything aftermarket. if you have a boost gauge what are you seeing at WOT.

I checked EVERYTHING today. Nothing I can see. I just installed a boost gauge and the most I'm producing is 11 lbs. That is foot all the way to the floor. I'm not sure how to fill out my sig but I have a DIY air filter (NAPA 6637), Superchip, and gauges on my 2000 Ford F250. I have noticed that it only makes that noise when I hit about 8 or 9 lbs. of boost.

im just throwin out an idea i think has already been said but it kinda sounds like a hole got rubbed into the the drivers side intercooler tube, if you still have that aluminum crap wrapped around it then take it off and inspect it really well since the hole will most likely be on the bottom side of it. and since those boots will be off check them again too if you already havent.

i dont think your up pipes would be making that loud noise but make sure you check them too for black soot on the firewall.

heres how you do it.... youll find the leak this way.... take off your intake duct that hooks the turbo to the airfilter. take the piece that clamps to the turbo off the plastic piece that has the hole in it. take that piece that clamped to the turbo air inlet to the hardwhare store and but a pvc pipe cap or plug that fits tightly into the big side of the air intake duct. get you a small drill bit and drill a small hole in the cap. bout as big around as a 1/4 inch drill bit mabey tad smaller. then clamp the pvc cap tightly onto the air duct. put that back on your turbo and take an air blower with the rubber tip and put 10 or so psi into the system. have a budy or yourself listen to where the air is coming out at the leak. yours will be obvious because its such a big leak. then just fix it.

I make 30 psi with 6 pos chip and he has a 10k mod and a superchip so its hard to say what he has i know a stock truck with stock turbo wont make any more than 17 psi. Btw what tune at WOT are you making 25 psi?
