weird pull today ran open before street got 2nd truck was only running 35 psi down track and felt down on power from normal 45ish

I was 2nd to last hook in open and 1rst hook in street
so i pull and it felt same as last, so i drop it and to come back last
well came off the line the 2nd time in street and hear a big his, almost like compression blowing through heads, and only ran 20 psi
got to inspecting and IC boot at turbo on hot side top of it was ripped out!
should kept my first pull at 265ft i was only 14ft behind coppes and other high hp dodges there instead of 235ft with ripped boot
so looking at this boot http://www.turbohoses.com/22degree.htm since i have a slight angle where my ic pipe and turbo mate
as you can see in the pic how my straight boot acts up some

its all fixed thanks to pure diesel power and diesel power products, there 4 inch hump boots worked wonders had to remove onw ring on it to get my ic pipe lined up

Yeah and a regular hose clamp will not keep IC boots on for shizzle either...........Found that out the hard way on the KW !

Mcmaster car makes some clamps that are rated to around twice the torque of a standard T-bolt clamp. Considering how rarely I have a boot come loose with regular old T-bolts, I would wager that with the Mcmaster clamps you could forget it.

I'll try and find a link.

Look down the page until you find this type:

They probably have almost half the clamp load as the one I linked to. Food for thought, being that you're the one popping boots and all.

:poke:
