I have a question:

When you run your truck on a chassis dyno, the operator typically enters some data about the vehicle under test, including tire size (roll-out) and vehicle weight, correct?

How important are these figures to getting an accurate TQ and HP reading? What happens if either figure is high or low, i.e. the vehicle weight being entered as 7600 lbs. when the actual weight (verified on a scale) is 8000 lbs.?

Thanks for the info.

i believe weight only plays a factor on a load cell dyno like a mustang but i dont know how much of an effect it has on the numbers...

Nothing happens if you're on a Dynojet... Nothing except an accurate reading ;)

I dynoed the RTV the other day. I was shootin the chit and just threw it on for a quick spin. With a dynojet none of that BS matters. You just spin rollers of a known weight. It takes a specific amount of power to accelerate them a specific amount. Easy as it gets. No wonder it's the most accurate dyno. There's literally nothing to screw up.

BTW, the kubota consistently laid down mid 14's... :D
