I know this is probally a touchy subject to some, but any of yall effected by the manmade floods of the missisippi? Did yall have any time to prepare? Any have grain in storage? Is insurance going to compensate yall for the damage? Any idea how much damage is going to be done to the soil? I feel for each and every person that is suffering by our dumb ass government.

I really think they should have let mother nature run her course as compared to intentionally flooding some to save others....

I hope they compensate tyose guys. Theres going to be alot of damage for years to come. I seriously dou t. They do a thing tho, the corporate america and government doesnt give 2 $hits about the farmer. I cant imagine how long theyll be out of the fields and how long itll be before they get all the water to go away.

Thoughts and prayers for them. We farm in a flood plain and the flood that happen a couple of weeks ago didn't help any. But it was better to have it then than to have a flood now and wash everything away.

Yea i doubt they will pay anything either. Once the water does drain off there is no telling how long it will take the land to dry out if a thick layer of silt has been deposited. I dont know how the farmers are going to make it loosing everything, i know this kind of disaster would break us.

And since it was a man made flood, an act of guberment, I highly doubt any insurance will pay off......but I am sure low interest loans will be made available.....
